* Ansiktsblind – the test

Jag fick en länk om ansiktsblindhet av Dottan. Det fanns två tester att göra.

Första testet hade med datorgenererade ansikten att göra.

Results

Out of 72 faces, you correctly identified 50.
In other words, you got 69% correct.

On our previous version of this test, the average person with normal face recognition was able to recognize about 80% of the faces. If you correctly identified less than 65% of the faces, this may indicate face recognition difficulties.

Det gick inte så himla bra inte. Det andra gick dock bättre, den handlade om kändisars ansikten.

Results

Out of 30 faces, you correctly identified 25.
You were familiar with 30 of the people in this test.

If we exclude the ones you were unfamiliar with, you got 83% correct.

On our previous version of this test, the average person with normal face recognition was able to recognize about 85% of the faces they were familiar with. If you missed more than half of the faces you were familiar with, this may indicate face recognition difficulties.

Så, vad lär man sig då av denna? Jag har lättare att känna igen ansikten jag har sett flera gånger.* Men det handlar även om att vissa personer har ansikten som jag har lättare att känna igen än andra. Vissa elever har jag svårt att skilja på, även om ser olika ut i “verkligheten”.

Det går att läsa innan man gör testet:
While doing badly on this test does not mean that you have face recognition impairments, it can be an indicator of poor face memory. Likewise, doing well on this test does not rule out face recognition difficulties.

Jag tror jag tillhör den senare delen ändå. Fast jag brukar överleva ändå.
